This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to the Domestic Telegraph Co., which was incorporated in New York in April 1874 to exploit Edison's domestic (district) telegraph system as well as his fire and burglar alarm inventions. The correspondents for 1875 include inventor and engineer Jarvis B. Edson and Edison associate Alexander Morten, acting secretary and treasurer of the Domestic Telegraph Co. In addition to the correspondence, there are financial statements, circulars and brochures, and orders. The following notation appears on many of the documents: "Used in law suit: Edison vs. A & P and Domestic Telegraph Co. Apr. 1878."
