This folder contains correspondence and other documents relating to honors and awards conferred on Edison by governments, colleges, learned societies, charitable organizations, and other institutions. Most of the documents for 1878 refer to the Paris Universal Exposition. There is also a letter regarding an award from the Republic of Mexico for the invention of the phonograph.
All of the documents have been selected except for an advertising circular. Courtesy of Thomas Edison National Historical Park.
