This folder contains correspondence and other documents pertaining to the Edison Phonoplex System of Telegraphy. The daily operations of this company were conducted by W. S. Logue and normally received very little attention from Edison.
Approximately 40 percent of the documents have been selected. The selected items relate to a confidential discount arranged for the installation of the phonoplex on the Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific Railway. Most of the unselected documents involve routine sales and service matters on various railroads, particularly the Central Railroad of Georgia and the Illinois Central Railroad.
