[The following note describes a series of volumes and folders and has no documents attached to it. For that reason, a "no Documents found" message will appear if the "List Documents" button at the bottom of the note is used. To see the documents in the volumes and folders described here, use the "Which Series Notes?" button to enter the Series Notes or use the "Next Text" button to move to the first item in the series.]
This series consists of agreements, assignments, licenses, deeds, mortgages, and other legal documents, along with related correspondence and financial records that were collected or created for legal purposes. The files were maintained by Edison's personal secretaries, Harry F. Miller and Richard W. Kellow.
Documents relating to civil court or Patent Office litigation can be found in the Litigation Series. However, affidavits, bills of complaint, transcripts of testimony, and other litigation records do occasionally appear in the Miller and Kellow files. Legal documents can also be found in the Document File and in other series in the digital edition. Courtesy of Thomas Edison National Historical Park.
