This letterbook covers the period January-August 1884. Most of the correspondence consists of routine form letters acknowledging the receipt of supply and equipment orders. Only four lettersthree by Edison and one by Samuel Insullhave been selected. The front cover is marked "Advices Only--" and is stamped "T. A. Edison. Construction Dept., 65 Fifth Ave., New York."
