This scrapbook covers the periods January and May 1889. The book contains clippings regarding Edison's dispute with Ezra T. Gilliland and John C. Tomlinson. The dispute concerned negotiations with Jesse Lippincott and the sale of the marketing rights for the phonograph. The inside front cover is marked "Frauds, Ingrates &c. &c." The book contains 144 numbered pages; pages 28-144 are blank.
