These undated recollections of Barnabe Maisonville concern his experiences in 1862 with Edison in Fort Gratiot (Port Huron), Michigan, and on the railroad to and from Detroit. Several of Edison's boyhood enterprises are mentioned, including the newspaper he printed on board the train, hazardous experiments in the baggage car, and practicing elementary telegraphy at home.
