This notebook, which covers the period May-August 1882, is the second of four notebooks used to record tests of zinc electric meters and batteries at the Edison Machine Works in New York City. The entries are by unidentified experimenters. Like the first notebook in this series, it is a handwritten copy, probably made during the 1920s or 1930s at the direction of Clarke, of the original notebook that was used in the Testing Room at the Edison Machine Works. The label on the front cover is inscribed "Electric Light Meter 2" and "Electrical Experiments and Tests on Zinc, Sulphate of Zinc &c." The book contains 37 numbered pages.
