These documents, which cover the years 1916-1927, consist primarily of transcriptions of notes from Edison to William A. Hardy, a patent attorney in the Legal Department of Thomas A. Edison, Inc. The transcriptions were prepared by Hardy's daughter from the handwritten originals. Also included is a letter by Hardy, with a marginal notation by Edison, concerning the "autographic," or facsimile, telegraph invented by Edison and Patrick Kenny. Courtesy of Ann A. Hardy.
