These documents, which cover the years 1891-1929, consist of correspondence and other items concerning Edison's winter home in Fort Myers, Florida. The documents pertain to ownership of the property, furnishings, and recreational activities. Included are two letters from James Symington, a close friend of Edison's father, written while he and Samuel Edison were vacationing at Fort Myers in 1891. Also included is Mina Edison's correspondence with the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries and with U.S. Senator Duncan U. Fletcher of Florida concerning the stocking of fish in estuaries near the Edison home.
