This folder contains correspondence, agreements, by-laws, and other documents relating to the business of the Edison Shafting Manufacturing Co., which was incorporated in July 1884 in New York City. The company manufactured belts, pulleys, and rotating bars used in shafting gear assemblies. Most of the documents are agreements pertaining to the formation of the company.
