This folder contains correspondence, agreements, and other documents relating to the development of the Edison system of electric lighting in Chile. Included is material concerning the construction of central stations and isolated lighting plants for individual buildings. Much of the correspondence is by Willis N. Stewart, Edison's agent in Chile.
Approximately 90 percent of the documents have been selected. The following categories of documents have not been selected: routine correspondence relating to financial matters and the shipment of goods; routine correspondence acknowledging the receipt of letters and cables; duplicate copies of selected documents.
