This notebook covers the period January 1902-June 1910. It was used by John F. Ott and several unidentified employees for the assignment of sequential account numbers, 1246-2191, to each laboratory project. The entries provide a description of each project, the name of the person or company charged for the work, and, occasionally, a corresponding requisition number. Although this book duplicates some of the information in N-01-03-15, most of the entries also include the starting date of the experimental project. Unlike N-01-03-15, there are no closing dates. The project numbers were also used to identify experimental expense account entries in the laboratory ledgers and journals. The spine is stamped "Records." The first page is inscribed "Number Book of Laboratory of Thomas A. Edison. Jan. 17, 1902." The book contains 240 numbered pages; it has been used to page 235.
